2021 will se the longest season in the history of Formula 1 and will contain a variety of new, old and standard F1 circuits. As well as that, the sport will see a hugely reshuffled driver line-up which is sure to bring many exciting on track battles. This article contains some of my predictions of what to expect in 2021.
A Close Midfield Battle
Over the last few years in Formula 1, the battle between the midfield teams has intensified and I don’t expect 2021 to break this trend. Without a doubt, we will see McLaren, Aston Martin, Alpine, Ferrari and AlphaTauri battling it out to try and secure that valuable 3rd position in the constructor’s championship. The midfield for 2021 will also play host to the big names of Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso which will be sure to add an extra element of competitiveness to the fight.
Red Bull Challenging Mercedes
After one of their best pre-season testing campaigns to date, Red Bull must surely be in with a chance of toppling the formidable silver arrow. Mercedes themselves have come out and said that they struggled in testing and will have a “lot of work to do” if they are to keep their title. I reckon both teams will be at level pegging when they arrive in Bahrain this weekend and fans will finally be allowed to witness the battle they’ve longed for: Max Verstappen vs Lewis Hamilton.

The COVID-19 pandemic changed F1 in many ways, not least the absence of fans throughout 2020. F1 supporters across the globe will be praying restrictions will be lifted in time for them to go and enjoy their favourite Grand Prix,
